North American Bancard (NAB) acquired a perpetual software license from IP Commerce for their gateway switching platform at the end of 2013, following IP Commerce’s announcement to discontinue providing such services. This software is the core engine driving Velocity. Since the acquisition, the Velocity team has continued to expand the software capabilities adding more service providers and value added services to support its greater software community.

Generally transactions are deposited into your bank account in 2 business days. If your merchant account is eligible for enrolling for next day funding, we deposit your funds within the next day.
Yes, the data is yours. That is how confident we are about our services. In the event you do want to port your customer data with you, there will be amicable costs to cover securely processing that request that you will incur.
In general, we are seeing an average turnaround of 2 weeks for when developers received certification assets to being certified. Times do vary with respect to the complexity of the project, other commitments being balanced by developers, and the developers experience level.

Yes, the current API is backwards compatible with existing integrations to the IP Commerce platform prior to the acquisition. Even though you are most of the way certified with Velocity, you will still need to go through the formalities of certification to ensure you get the best support in production. If you certified with other companies that also have a perpetual software license to IP Commerce, we are compatible as well.
Yes, we have two solutions addressing hosted checkout. Our Hosted Payments Form solution is an embeddable payments form for desktop, tablet and mobile devices, working within your site, without redirecting customers away to complete the transaction. If you want to build the whole payments form yourself, our Direct Post solution is there to help you tokenize and charge keeping you out of scope for PCI.
By leveraging Velocity’s security solutions, including Hosted Checkout, Point-to-Point Encryption, Tokenization and Semi-Integrated Solutions, you can avoid being in scope of PCI.
Velocity’s Semi-Integrated solutions are designed to take the payments out of the point of sale. The point of sale will simply invoke the SI application via its inbound API with non-sensitive transactional data request. The SI application will then handle all sensitive transaction data processing returning a tokenized response. The end result is an out of scope point of sale.
EMV ready or capable hardware solutions is strictly hardware that is certified for taking on EMV transactions, however they are not production solutions “enabled” for processing EMV card transactions just yet. The reasoning behind this, is they are lacking the missing application component that is EMV fully certified with the hardware, processor and brands for enabling the processing of EMV cards.
Yes, the Velocity EMV “enabled” solution is our Semi-Integrated application that is compatible with Ingenico Telium2 Terminals. Our certification covers the iCT, iWL, iPP, and iSC series terminals through our service provider EPX.

Yes, Velocity offers subscription service tools that take the pain out of recurring billing and payments. You can store the data in our PCI Level 1 certified vault, and we can handle the payments automatically for you, or you can initiate manually.

Yes. You can use Add-Ons and Discounts to create promotional periods or rewards for your customers. These line items can be run for set periods of time along with the subscription. You have flexibility to create plans that work for your business needs.
Through the Velocity platform, NAB offers its own Gift and Loyalty stored value program. This solution comes at no cost for merchants enrolled through NAB. Gift and Loyalty cards help boost cash flow, consumer spending and repeat visits.
For NAB merchants, the cost is including with the merchant account. The only thing that is required for purchase through Velocity are cards and accessories.
Yes, this is the requirement with using the program. All packages and card orders have to be purchased through Velocity/ NAB.
There are two types of packages, Pre-Designed and Custom packages. Pre-Designed packages are printed in 7 business days (or less). Custom packages are printed from 7-15 business days depending on the quantity. Please allow 1-2 business days for proof creation. Both Pre-Designed and Custom require a minimum order of 100 cards.

While configuring the Hosted Checkout parameters will not require any development knowledge, implementing the hosted Checkout Button (an iframe popup while the merchant’ site is visible in the background) will require a developer to implement the button on the merchant’ site. If you opt for the link (a payment page that the user will be directed to in order complete the payment) no development is necessary. The link can be sent directly to customer’s emails or linked to from the merchant’s site.

To modify the receipt function you must navigate down the left hand side of the page to the Settings tab. Once you are in settings you need to click on the receipt tab. From here you will be able to add or remove a number of different fields to the receipt (invoice #, order #, employee ID, customer ID, reference #, cardholder name, billing street, billing city, billing state, billing zip, and comments). In here you can also make changes to the merchant name, street, city, state, postal code, website, or phone number if you so desire. Once you have made the desired changes click save.
